Cecilie Koste

Cecilie Køste is a Norwegian clicker trainer who joined the ClickerExpo faculty in 2008. She has been into numerous competitions with her flat-coated retrievers, and has held the top position for obediende and working dog contests. She has extensive experience in working with search and rescue and military dogs. Aside from these, she has joined show jumping competitions with her clicker-trained horses.

Cecilie, along with her husband, Morten, is among the first ones to use clicker training. The two established a clicker training company called Canis. This company has a lot of clicker training schools all over Norway. They train dogs to become competitive, and they employ only the best clicker trainers and Europe’s top competitors. Her primary goal is to use clickers in obedience contests. Aside from clickers, she promotes the use of back-chaining, and other tools that can be used to train dogs in the best way possible.

Cecilie and her husband has spread the reach of their knowledge to the Internet. They released the eBook, Clickertraining: The 4 Secrets of Becoming a Supertrainer, which discusses proper clicker training in layman’s language. It is perfect for newbie dog trainers and dog owners who want to adopt the technology into their training.

Aside from being an expert dog and horse trainer, Cecilie has a degree in psychology and is currently a doctor at a clinic for Child and Youth Psychiatry.
