The guide is so complete

We are raising swans in our homecare facility because our patients find swan-viewing therapeutic. We initially learned everything about swan raising through this material. It’ just a simple book, but very detailed. You will really learn everything you need to know. We currently have 5 swans in the facility, and they’re really beautiful. A lot of our clients love sitting by the pond watching and feeding them. I highly recommend The Essential Beginners Guide To Raising Swans to anyone who is just getting started with swan raising. These fowls are unique and so they have unique needs too. This is the best material to understand them better.

It's definitely a complete guide book

We decided to raise swans in the backyard because we got a small pond in there, and it’s such a wasted space. We used to have fish in there but they all died, and it was just an empty pond for a long time. The Essential Beginners Guide To Raising Swans is a very helpful resource. We learned a lot about swans and how to raise them. They’re quite easy to raise if you know their needs. Just a bit more complicated than ducks, but they’re a lot more beautiful. It’s great just seeing them swim gracefully in the pond. It’s awesome for stress relief. I also got to understand their behavior so much better. We’ve now gotten into the next step, which is swan breeding. My husband and I are planning to sell swans in the future, so we want to learn swan breeding. Our space can accommodate a few more swans, so it’s ok.

You will learn everything from this book

This is a complete swan raising guide from getting your first swans, to setting up their home, to feeding them, and then breeding them. I don’t have much use for the breeding information right now, but it’s still good to have it around in case I need it. Aside from the breeding stuff, most of the information here is for newbie swan raisers. There are only a few books on raising swans, so I suggest picking this up right away. I now have my first few swans, and they didn’t even need a very large space. I thought that swans need a huge pond to thrive, but that’s not true. They’re living happily in my small backyard pond now.

I still have some questions left unanswered, but I learned them while raising my first swans. If you’re after basic information, then this should be enough.

Perfect guide for beginners in the swan business
posted this review on December 25, 2012

If you want to get into swan raising the easy and cheap way, The Essential Beginners Guide To Raising Swans will surely be helpful. We have a small pond near the house that is perfect for swan raising, and my husband was looking for a way to earn some extra money. We decided on a swan business because taking care of other fowls seem too much of a hard work. Swans are mostly independent creatures, so you just have to setup their habitat, and give them food, and they’d be fine on their own. A lot of money can be made from swan breeding too. We learned so much from this resource not just about taking care of swans, but also about making money out of them. It’s really a good business, since it’s easy to run, and you don’t need much capital for it. Extra space in the backyard, and a pond are essential, though. I highly recommend The Essential Beginners Guide To Raising Swans if you’re planning to start a swam business.

My dad liked it...

My dad liked this book. I sent it to him printed and bound, so he can have something new to try . He’s been retired for 3 years, and getting bored with his garden, so I told him to raise swans for the kids to feed and play with when we come home to visit. I printed the book in really large fonts, so he can read it. He said the book is well-written, and the ideas are smart.

All the basics packed in here

This is a simple book with a lot of important information about raising swans. I won’t say it will make you a swan expert right away, but it will give you all the information you need to get started. Once you get some experience with your swans, you will surely learn the more advanced lessons automatically. Don’t worry about spending $40 on this book, once you get beautiful full-grown swans, it will all be worth it.

A very valuable tool...

We live a continuing care retirement community and we have three ponds that some of us feel are suitable for swans and they would be a beautiful addition to our campus.

The Essential Beginners Guide to Raising Swans has been a very valuable tool in preparing our case to convince management that a swan investment would be a good idea.

Things move slowly here but with the information presented in this ebook, we think we have the required knowledge to sell the idea.

A very resourceful book for sure.

At the very start it emphasizes the importance of cover for the birds, one factor usually overlooked by breeders, which assume heavy rain can do them no harm, since they are waterfowl.

A wrong assumption I learnt the painful way, living in a rain forest region, in Brazil. The importance of tranquility and the developing of a sense of routine to the birds as well emphasized.

The tips of experienced breeders are precious. A must have for any swan enthusiast.
