Dog Food Secrets

Score: 7.1/10 ( 59 votes)

After his dog, Noble, died, just 4 years of age, Andrew Lewis, the author of Dog Food Secrets, discovered that it was commercial dog food that caused Noble’s kidney failure and eventually death. Outraged at this discovery he devoted 3 years of his life investigating dog food industry. What he found out was shocking, to say the least. Most commercial dog food contains at last 6 deadly chemicals (long-ago banned from all human foods), that can cause several different types of cancer, liver and kidney failure, hair loss, allergies, behavioral problems, or even blindness.

In his book, Dog Food Secrets, Mr. Lewis explains how you should feed your dog. By making sure your dog is eating the right kind of foods (and in the right amount), your dog will be healthier, happier and live longer. But it’s not just about the food. For perfect health your dog must follow a complete healthcare regime its entire life. All the information needed for this are also included in the Dog Food Secrets.

Dog Food Secrets comes in a downloadable e-book format.

The public should know about this!
posted this review on September 11, 2013

I can’t believe they’re not exposing everything to the public. This conspiracy is terribly disgusting. I hope they’ll do something about it. My first shelter dog died of what I suspect is dog food poisoning. There weren’t any signs. He just deteriorated and the vet said it’s best to put him to sleep. They could do so many tests to him, but I didn’t have enough money to fund it plus the treatment. Since I didn’t want him to suffer, I agreed to just put him to sleep when the doctor said he couldn’t do anything more with the resources that I have. I was reluctant to get a new dog after that, but someone from the shelter, who’s my friend from high school, asked me to foster or adopt a new dog. She also told me about this book. I read this book, and everything came back to me. I’ve now adopted the dog, and I follow the feeding suggestions in this book. My new dog seems very healthy and happy with what I can give him, and I’m quite confident that he’s gonna have a longer life than the previous one.

True information
posted this review on March 24, 2013

This information is guaranteed true and correct. My first dog, a husky died because of dog food poisoning. The vet said so. That was 5 years ago. I never forgot that ad never fed my new dogs dog food anymore. I prepare their own food. Some people say that you just need to choose which dog food to feed your pet, but that’s not the case. All of those dog food companies are the same. You can read this book for more evidence. I’m pretty sure you’ll be cooking your own dog food the moment you find out what secrets these dog food companies are keeping from us, dog lovers. I also suggest you leave a good comment here so others will also know.

The info here bothers me

I’m glad I read this book. I feel like I’ve added a few years to my dog’s life. I’m telling you, it’s really not that easy to prepare your dog’s food, but if you really care about your dog’s health, you need to do it. Dog Food Secrets exposes a lot of secrets in the dog food industry, and how they can sell those dog foods so cheaply, and how these dog foods can affect your dog’s health. My main problem with preparing my own dog food is that it’s too expensive, but now I’m learning new ways to cut down on costs. I’ve cut it down a little bit now, and I’m still looking for better ways. I’m lucky that I only have one dog. If you have more than one this is really going to be a challenge, but after you read the information in Dog Food Secrets Exposed, I’m sure you’ll realize that it’s all worth the effort. I think there are some people who asked their vet about the information in this book, and proved that they’re all true. You can also do the same.

Only homemade goodies for my pooches now
posted this review on December 16, 2012

This is a very honest book. It says a lot about the dog food industry that some pet store owners are hiding from the public. I’m glad I read this because now I’ve stopped buying all commercial dog food, and shifted to homemade ones.

This is really a very informative book
posted this review on December 6, 2012

The information here was really surprising for me because I’m a new dog owner. I got my dog from my brother. He gave it to my daughter for his birthday, and we both fell in love with him right away. He’s a really cute Pomeranian. Anyway, I’m happy that this book finally exposed these dog food secrets. When I bought this, I thought I was buying a book on dog nutrition, but what I got is a lot better. At least now I know that I should not feed my dog commercial food, and I’ve also found better alternatives. There is also much information here on how to avoid common dog diseases stemming from malnutrition, as well as how to give dogs a balanced diet. I’m confident now that I’m taking really good care of Princess, and that she will live a long life.

Andrew did a great job

I can see Andrew Lewis’ concern for dogs and other pet animals in this book. He really researched it passionately in honor of Noble, and I’m happy to support another dog lover like him. I was surprised to find out that some of the most popular names in the dog food industry are involved in such atrocity towards animals. It’s really horrible knowing that they do not care about the health of pets, and they just want their quick buck. I really got disgusted. I wanted to learn more about this, but not much information is on the Internet and I think the best way to really find out more is to talk to vets and those who have experience working for dog food companies. For me the information I read here is enough. I’m now cooking my own dog food. Even if it takes more time, at least I’m sure that my dog is eating good food.

Well-written... unique information
Patrick Mails (from Vail, USA) posted this review on November 8, 2012

The book is well-written and it’s informative. I tried searching for information like the other commenter said to do but I couldn’t find the same information from this book in other websites. I think I should really go talk to my vet about it. This book is a must-read for new pet owners. I think older pet owners are already familiar with this information as the issue is a little old as my friend told me. If all the information here is true, it’s very shameful to the dog and pet care industry. I’ve watched videos of their maltreatment of animals in storage warehouses, so I think it’s not impossible that those pet business tycoons can do such a thing for profits. I suggest you make yourself aware of this issue if you are concerned about your pet’s health.

Love the product; don't understand the dog food reccommendations
posted this review on November 5, 2012

Love the recipes, and so do my dogs. If I use commercial dry dog food, I buy Evo. It doesn't have any of the bad ingredients in it, and all of the reccommended ingredients are included. Why isn't this brand in "The Confidential Dog Food Report.?"  Several of the other brands listed have had recalls lately, but not Evo. What is your rationale for this exclusion?

There was some delay, but it's fine
posted this review on November 1, 2012

It took me half a day to get my book, but it’s worth it. I got an apology from the author that they had a problem with the system and it went down for a few hours, so it’s ok. As for the book itself, I’d say it’s very well-researched. I’ve already heard of this problem from my vet, but I just wanted a different look at it and more evidence. The information in this book is the same as what my vet told me. What I like from this, though, is that it offers solutions for the problem, and doesn’t just present the problem.

I think the info here is accurate
posted this review on October 15, 2012

I think the information in this book is true because after we switched to homemade goodies for our dog, Peter, he seemed a lot healthier. We also managed to get rid of his peeing problem before. I think he was just suffering from incontinence before because no matter how hard we trained him, he kept on peeing inside the home. After putting him on our new homemade dog food, he’s started peeing out of the home. He’s also more energetic and less cranky. Also, we get to save money on our natural do food. It takes a little more time to prepare, but if it’s safe for my dog, then it’s ok with me. If you still have doubts, I suggest reading the whole report to enlighten yourself.

My vet recommended this book to me
posted this review on September 30, 2012

I’m sure a lot of dog food companies will hate this book. My dog’s been having a lot of health issues lately, and I got really worried about him, so I took him to the vet. The vet I talked to is an advocate of natural food for dogs because he’s witnessed a lot of dog’s succumb to different sicknesses caused by contaminated/unhealthy dog foods. He told me about this book for further reading, and I just hated dog food companies for selling such gruesome stuff to dog owners. I’m glad I found out the truth early on before my pet got any irreversible disease from such products. I make my own dog food now, and although it takes a bit of work during weekends, I’m fine with that as long as my dog gets to eat only good food with proper nutrition.

All dog owners should read this
posted this review on September 26, 2012

It’s awesome information that I think will help all dog owners who are still using commercial dog food. I’m a budding dog breeder, and for so long, I’ve put my pets on commercial dog food. After one of them died of kidney failure last year, I decided to do research on this subject. I didn’t find this book then, but yeah, the information in this book is exactly what I learned from my research. If I’d seen this then, I would have saved myself a lot of trouble. This book tells dog owners the right ways to feed dogs to ensure that their health remains in good condition. As the owner, it really is your job to make sure that your pet eats right. Most especially for me because I earn a living breeding and selling dogs. This is really something all dog owners should read.

Talk to your vet about this and learn the truth

I couldn’t believe what I read here until I did some really deep research on the matter, and talked heart to heart to my vet about it. My vet seemed hesitant to discuss this issue with me, but I insisted that he tell me what he knows. He told me that everything in the book is true but they’re not allowed to divulge the information to the general public because it would damage their whole industry. He does sell commercial dog food anyway. He even told be the ones I should avoid at all cost, and gave me a few alternatives. I suggest talking to your vet about this issue. I’m sure you will see that Andrew is right. It’s just natural that there are people in the dog food industry wanting to ruin him. He’s been very courageous to have stepped out with the information. I’m sure this will save a lot of pets’ lives.

Saved my dog's life
Sally Veal (from New Orleans, USA) posted this review on July 3, 2012

Me and my mom have been arguing about whether or not to put my pug, Bowie, on purely commercial dog food. She hates the mess I make when preparing food for my dog and she wants me to just buy already prepared ones to save us trouble. I insisted that it would be bad for Bowie’s health and showed her this to prove my point. It was just sad that Andrew’s dog had to die before he knew about this. It’s all thanks to this book that my pet does not have to be like that.

Jeffery: A beautiful tom cat
posted this review on November 25, 2011

Omg, everyone... Dennis is a LIAR! Do not listen to him, because my imformation possibly will change your minds.

Jeffery, a beautiful tom cat we own, was dying. I was ABSOUTELY DISGUSTED when I researched dogfood AND catfood at the age of 13, i learned about tallow and was skeptical about lipsmackers and soap, so much that i didn`t use them. Before that I fed Jeffery on '9 Lives', a catfood that has all the undesirable ingredients Andrew imformed and talked about; i realised Jeffery had gotten sick, he threw up BLOOD. I then knew by-products were the cause, because Sodium Penitobarbital was IN it! I perswaded my mom to change, and she even read the label!

Thanks, Andrew! Keep it up!

Dog Food Contamination - True or False? Hear The Experts' Below

Before you buy Dog Food Secrets, hear what the experts have to say about contaminated pet food especially dog food.

The is probably the most highly sought high ranking review site about dog food...simple truth with relevant dog care articles.

The facts is contamination had been going on for a long time and it is still happening now under different re-labelling. Why? Because the source preserved meat is still not regulated.

Worked wonders for my Lili
heather (from ny, ny) posted this review on March 16, 2009

In my opinion, this is a great guide. The info is a bit shocking, but I could see that it's true; my dog Lili is the best proof of that. She's had allergies all her life, scratching, red skin, her hair was falling out. We've bee to all sorts of doctors and had several tests done, but none showed anything. For the last couple of years she was on steroids that at least calmed the inflammation a bit. One pill each day. We changed her food before, of course, but it didn't change a thing. But this time, Lili does feel better. We are slowly taking her off the pills (one every 2 or 3 days) and she's doing great.

By the way - Dog Food Secrets is downloadable book. You download it 5 minutes after you pay. Next time, read what they say on their website before you write it's a scam. Again, in my opinion this book worked wonders for my Lili.

DON'T buy Dog Food Secrets. It is a SCAM.
dog owner (from San Francisco, USA) posted this review on March 13, 2009

It is just a scam to ripe off pet owner's money. I ordered the products online for about 3 weeks. Still have not received the books. I tried contacting the vendor, but no reply. Pet owners, be careful that it is just a scam. DON'T fall into this trap.

"My dog actually looks younger"

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it! My dog actually looks younger, it's amazing. He's also got much more pep.

He slowed down somewhat in the last few years and I put it down to approaching old age, but since I started feeding him the way you teach, he's had a new burst of life! Once again he's running instead of walking, alert instead of sleeping... it's like having the young-guy back again, I love it. Pretty sure he's rather pleased as well!

Tuco, my handsome Doberman... putting on muscle and his coat is improving since I have used Dog Food Secrets information with regard to feeding. Tuco really enjoys his new feeding regime, especially chicken carcasses. I am now feeding a combination of one of the commercial dog foods recommended and raw meaty bones.

My Rottweiler Maxine

The biggest of our 3 kids is a beautiful 59kg (130 lb) Rottweiler called Maxine. My other 2 kids (both human), my husband and I are all quite sporty so it was a source of amusement amongst our friends that Maxine was a fatty!

I didn't like to hear her teased but as far as we knew, we were feeding her a decent diet of commercial dog food. When I saw that the book shows how to prepare calorie controlled meals for dogs, I knew I must find out how... and the results are astounding! She obviously looks better but to our surprise also has better breath, smaller, less stinky poos and seems to have improved self-control which we guess is from an improved diet. Now she's a beautiful beast for sure, a few more pounds and Maxine will be the cutest dog in town!
