Earth For Energy by Michael Harvey is a guide to making solar panels. If you build your own solar panel, you will save on your electricity bills, do your part to help the environment, get satisfaction from your work, and be able to sell those panels for a profit.
Earth For Energy provides practical instructions explaining every step, detailed illustrations and diagrams, and lists of all of the tools and materials you need. Buying and installing solar panels from retailers will cost you thousands of dollars, but building your own panel will not cost more than $200.
Earth For Energy has in six parts. The first part teaches you the basics of solar energy. The second part tells how to build your own solar panel. Part Three provides The Solar Calculator, a guide to installing and mounting solar panels, forms for solar tax credits and rebates, and electrical wiring plans. The fourth part is a video lesson on the most difficult parts of solar panel construction. Part Five shows you how to build a wind turbine. The last part consists of two hours of videos that provide additional information on solar power.

I was looking to purchase a few retail solar panels for my home but after looking at the price of them it just made sense to build my own.
After going through the materials I managed to build 2 solar panels for under $100! They are just small panels but this is all I need for the lighting and fridge in my courtyard.
