The guide's so helpful
Jessa Craney (from Ventura, USA) posted this review on June 6, 2014

I got started with organic food gardening when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I learned from a naturopathic doctor that a mainly organic diet would help me get better. Organic foods are quite expensive, so I decided to setup my own garden at home to save up a bit on my food expenses. This guide has been so helpful for me since I decide to get into gardening. It helped me grow my plants by following simple step-by-step instructions. Everything’s virtually free, so my garden is pretty low maintenance compares to other forms of gardening. I hope they come up with a 2nd edition of this with more gardening tips and for specific vegetables as well!

My husband and I enjoy working on our garden!
posted this review on October 1, 2013

When we found out that our youngest son had lupus, the family went on an all organic diet. It was difficult for everyone at first because we had no idea where to find all these organic products. And then the idea of organic gardening in my backyard hit me. My husband and I briefly tried gardening before, but we used pesticides and fertilizers. When we moved to a new home, gardening never crossed our mind again. And then Organic Food Gardening Beginner’s Manual came along and I thought it was such a good idea that I immediately tried organic gardening. It’s so much fun than non-organic gardening. Our youngest moved in with us while he was on treatment and we fed him only organic fruits and veggies from our own garden. He was well in just a year. His dad and I are currently enjoying gardening and organic eating. We feel healthier when we eat only our own produce, and we also get the exercise we need by working in the garden.

Most of what I know about organic farming I learned from this
posted this review on May 6, 2013

I got into organic gardening when I visited the Philippines. I went to an organic garden in Bulacan, Philippines. I lived there for almost a year for a research work. Since then, I fell in love with organic food. I ate mostly organic food back there, and I noticed how much healthier I became. I wasn’t sickly when I was in the Philippines, but when I got back here and began eating processed foods again, my health issues returned, like my gout and eczema. It’s amazing how organic food got rid of those problems before.

Anyway, onto my review. Organic Food Gardening Beginner’s Manual became my primary resource when I was starting my small organic garden in my backyard. I wanted to have a pergola built there originally, but I figured out an organic garden will be more useful. True enough, I save a lot on food expenses now, and I feel healthier again. It’s really purely organic. I don’t use chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Everything is natural. I’ve picked up some techniques while in the Philippines, but most of what I know I got from this fantastic guide.

I think the book saves time

Hi! I’m Lisa and this is my short review for this product.

I find it difficult to learn about organic gardening just by searching the internet for information. Most of the time, important information is buried under pages and pages of junk articles, so it’s a waste of time doing the research on your own. Organic Food Gardening Beginner’s Manual has got all the information organized, so you don’t have to bother with research on your own. The book is well-written, it’s better than most online books I’ve read. The instructions and the logics behind them are also clearly explained. Most importantly, my produce has become so much better when I followed the tips here. My plants are healthier, and I’m really impressed because I didn’t have to spend much money doing the methods here. I think that’s one of the perks when you decide to go organic. You don’t have to worry about money that much cos you will have everything you need right in your own home. Plus you don’t have to worry about chemicals. I’ve read that some of them can be cancerous, so I steer clear of them chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and just went organic. I can go blabbing the entire day about how much I love organic gardening but this review is for the book, so I’m just going to rate it to help you decide whether or not you’ll check it out.

Organic gardening is love!

If you’re new in organic gardening, you need Organic Food Gardening Beginner’s Manual. It’s got all the information you need to have happy and healthy plants without using chemicals. The chemicals in fertilizers and pesticides are known to cause different kinds of diseases including cancer. I’ve been gardening for years, but when I shifted to organic gardening, I had to unlearn and relearn a lot of things. Good thing I found Organic Food Gardening Beginner’s Manual. It’s very clearly explained. Believe it or not, my garden is better now that I’ve shifted to purely organic gardening. My plants are greener, the veggies I get are juicier. They’re really obviously healthier in general. Also, I’m not scared of putting pesticides and fertilizers anymore because I’m sure that they’re not harming my body in any way, like what chemicals can do. There are a lot other reasons to go organic. If you decide to shift to purely organic gardening, Organic Food Gardening Beginner’s Manual will surely be helpful.

If you don't already love gardening, you will

This doesn’t just teach you how to grow your garden, it does that with so much love and energy, that you can’t help but get motivated and get your lazy ass off the couch. I’ve been retired for 3 years, and it’s just now that I’m picking up a hobby aside from watching the television and going on the internet. My doctor told me that I should move around as much as I can so my body stays active. My daughter got me some gardening supplies and then this book. My vision is still very well, so it’s easy for me sorting out the seeds and all that. Trouble started when I started growing them. I was too lazy to read the book, so I just planted the seeds in the backyard, but they just rotted and died. That’s when I read this, and I was surprised that gardening can be quite complex too. It’s not just about getting the seeds in the ground and watering them waiting for them to grow. It’s more like nurturing a child. This book is written in a lively, exciting way that some of the passion just rubs off on you, and you begin to like gardening so much. I’ve now grown some veggies in my backyard and they look good. There are no harmful chemicals used here, no fertilizers and pesticides that can cause cancer. It’s all natural so it’s perfect for aging people like me. Just looking forward to harvesting my veggies gives me so much energy to go at it again tomorrow.

This is the easiest way to grow organic plants!
posted this review on September 2, 2012

This is exactly what I needed to grow healthy plants without chemicals! My son was diagnosed with leaky gut 4 years ago, and since then, he’s been allowed to eat only organic foods. It was difficult for us looking for organic foods that are within the budget, so we decided to start a garden. This guide is just perfect. It’s entirely chemical free including the fertilizers and pesticides used. I can start from seeds, and grow healthy plants that bear fruits and veggies that are fresh and natural. The book is well-researched and very easy to follow. My husband and I didn’t have any gardening experience before this, but we found it easy to follow, so I’m sure it’s fine for beginners. I definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to get into gardening.

Trained us really well
posted this review on July 26, 2012

This is a wonderful resource! My husband and I started our own garden when we retired. It serves two purposes, which are to keep us entertained and to provide us with an extra source of food. We had difficulties growing healthy plants because of lack of experience. It was sad seeing some of our plants wither, while the others could not bear us fruit. Another problem we faced was pest infestation. We both know about the dangers of using pesticides, so we didn’t use them. Then we got this book, and it was heaven sent. It has all the information every new gardener needs. Our plants have become healthier since we got this book, and we were able to get rid of pests naturally. It’s also really fun to go gardening now, since we are always looking forward to harvesting our fruits!
