This is a response to the January 3rd review posted by Ronald Holloway.
1. the downloaded version was corrupt - I have delivered a number of Rehab Offer Calculator files just prior to Mr. Holloway's purchase and immediately after his purchase without any issues. The file corruption issue could have been due to internet service provider, internet security software or other issues that unfortunately I don't have much control over. I am always willing to put the Rehab Offer Calculator on a CD and mail it at my expense to anyone who has a similar issue or simply wants a back up copy.
2. email address and phone number not working - I did have a short term issue with the customerservice@rehaboffercalculator.com email address (which is now resolved) so this is fair. However, at no time was my 800# (888-216-9236) not functioning, so I suspect that Mr. Holloway may have misdialed. I also publish another email address (info@rehaboffercalculator.com) that I did receive emails thru during the period mentioned. I take issue with the impression this review leaves that I have made myself unreachable and don't intend to support the product. I have spent countless hours on the phone with both purchasers and potential purchasers attempting to assure that each customer is satisfied with their purchase. I also offer a 100% money back no time limit guarantee that I have honored a number of times....including sending refunds to people who told me that they bought it with the best of intentions and just didnt use it.
3. unclear where to enter the current costs of materials - there is direction provided that yellow cells are data entry cells....so I was surprised to see this comment and have not had this issue arise over the course of the last 4 years worth of sales. I will add additional direction to assure that this is clear in the next version release.
4. when you are doing your first rehab repair estimate, you cannot be sure which product to pick - again I'm having trouble understanding this comment, since the dropdown boxes don't contain multiple options for the same material but rather unique materials. For example, the bathroom vanity drop down contains 7 different selections which are all different sizes (36 inch wide by 21 inch deep, pedestal for very tight installation, 18 inch wide by 16 inch deep, etc.) - the choice is based on the room you have available for installation.....the user doesn't have to be educated enough to make product choices as Mr. Holloway suggests. A rehabber of any skill level will be able to determine what size vanity will fit into their bathroom by measuring the amount of space available.
Overall, I strive to make sure that each purchaser feels as though they got good value for their money. I spent over 80 hrs building this tool and it would have gladly paid double the current price ($39.95) if this tool had been available elsewhere before I created it. I have received a number of comments from users that purchasing the Rehab Offer Calculator for $39.95 was a no brainer compared to the amount of time they would have spent creating a tool like this.
Mr. Holloway, I appreciate the fact that you did include a benefit of the tool and left it open as to whether or not you felt that the Rehab Offer Calculator was a good product, but if at any time you don't feel as though you got a good value for your money, please contact me for a full refund.
