by Kevin Koskella
The Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming, written by Kevin Koskella will help you improve the swimming part of your triathlon run. The techniques presented in the Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming are probably different than what you are used to. You see, when most people train for triathlon swimming, they train in much the same way that they would train for competitive pool swimming. And that’s a mistake. A triathlon swim in open water is different and your training should be different as well.
Inside the Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming you’ll learn how to employ a swimming technique that was developed especially for triathlon. It will help you get more out of each of your strokes and this way enable you to swim faster. But not only that, you’ll actually be saving energy at the same time.
Kevin Koskella, the author of the Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming, has been involved in swimming his entire life. He’s even achieved the All-American status. But when he started training for triathlon, he saw that it was his swimming that needed to change. He’s developed a new technique that has later proven itself in the competition and that now forms the foundation of the Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming course.

Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming - review
ON-SITE Review
I'm three weeks into the plan and really enjoying the variety of the workouts. I'm limited by my shoulder (4mos post op) in that I'm still building my endurance back up. I love the shark fin drill -- it's helping to improve my rotation and keep my elbows high. I also like the focus on breathing and stroke counts -- I'm seeing improvements in both areas. Overall, the plan is working for me. At this point, I need to get in as much yardage as my shoulder will allow, and this plan is moving me in the right direction. I really like it.

I am a beginner triathlete and I found this book to be very resourceful. I liked the gradual increase of effort required for the workouts. I have improved my Olympic race times and efficiency in stroke.
